Rita Atkins

ATKINS, Rita age 87, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. She was born on September 2, 1926 to the late Charles and Marie (Laubernds) Koenig.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William H. Atkins; grandson, Edward W. Gutknecht; siblings, Charles Koenig, Wilma Schuck, Ralph Koenig, Ruth Cartmell, Lawrence Koenig. Rita is survived by her daughters, Beverly Gutknecht and her husband Jim, Barbara Ann and her husband Jack, Mary Jo Kolarich and her husband Frank, Becky J. Balsley; grandchildren, John E. Gutknecht, James F. Gutknecht, William J. Ritter, Michael P. McLaughlin, Tracy L. Salmari, Emily R. Kolarich, Rebecca A. Ruter, Nicole M. Balsley; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Rita was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mount Healthy, Ohio. She was in many clubs at the church and was always willing to lend a helping hand. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
