Robert Bruce Browning, affectionately known as Bob, was born on May 31, 1941, in Covington, Kentucky. He peacefully passed away at the age of 83 on January 17, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family in Edgewood, Kentucky.
Bob served his country with honor as a Marine Corps veteran from 1961 to 1965, where he attained the rank of corporal. His dedication to service was a testament to his character and values which he carried throughout his life.
Bob cherished the time spent with his family, always prioritizing their well-being and happiness. Cooking was one of his favorite pastimes, where he often expressed his love through preparing meals for those he cared about. Bob was also known for his joyful singing and his ability to recall the lyrics to numerous classic songs.
He leaves behind a legacy of love as he is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Donna Browning (nee Miller); his daughter, Nicole (Charles Wilson) Browning; his treasured granddaughters, Raegan and Kyndall Simpson; his sister-in-law, Jeanine Browning; and many others who will remember him fondly.
Bob's proudest accomplishments were his family and his role as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his father, Jesse Browning; his mother, Isabelle Browning (nee Dahl); and his siblings, who will surely be waiting to welcome him with open arms.
The memory of Robert Bruce Browning will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. A graveside service followed by military honors will be held in his honor on January 24, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, located at 3227 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky. Friends and family are invited to gather to celebrate his life, share stories, and remember the remarkable man he was.
