Robert Carter

Robert A. Carter, age 79 of Cincinnati passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. He was born on August 30, 1932 in Liberty, Kentucky the son of Everett and Eunice (Latham) Carter. He was a member of the Northside Pentecostal Church where he enjoyed playing the cymbals and the tambourine. He also enjoyed wood working and spending time with his grandchildren. He was married Corletta Weingard, and she preceded him in death.

He is survived by his daughter Vickie and her husband Robert Merkel of Union, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Nicholas Merkel of Union, Kentucky and Crystal Merkel of West Chester; three brothers, Billy Carter and his wife Tammy of Edmonton, Kentucky, Elmer Carter of Ohio and Ronnie Carter of Griffin, Georgia; two sisters, Mary and her husband Bim Poff of Liberty, Kentucky and Ruth Mason of Liberty, Kentucky; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Weingard of Cincinnati and Curtis Patton of Dunnville, Kentucky; a special friend, Audrey Proctor of Cincinnati; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two brothers, James and Ernie Carter; four sisters, Violet Crew, Bernice Propes, Dolly Patton, and Viny Carter.

Funeral service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231 on, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Tony Henson officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.
