Robert Charles Etler

Robert Charles "Bob" Etler, age 75, of Union, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on December 27, 1945 to William Leo and Johanna Verna Etler (nee Due). Bob was a lover of all things baseball. Everything from coaching his sons to cheering on the Cincinnati Reds, he loved the game. Bob faithfully served in our Nation's Navy in the Vietnam War as a Seabee. Every year he looked forward to the annual family Thanksgiving trip to Gatlinburg, TN. He enjoyed hiking and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Arlene Menzer, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Etler.

Bob is survived by his beloved Wife of 54 years, Carol Etler (nee Krumpelman); sons, Doug (Kim) Etler, Todd (Shay) Etler, Mark (Jessica) Etler; grandchildren, Austin Iven, Brennan Etler, Brady Etler, Addyson Etler; brothers, Tom Etler, Larry (Alice) Etler; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other friends.

In loving memory of Bob, contributions may be made to Covington Catholic High School, 1600 Dixie Hwy, Park Hills, KY 41011.

A visitation will be on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northern Kentucky Chapel, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, Kentucky 41018. Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 pm.
