Robert "Bob" Charles Souders, age 71, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 4, 2021. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 23, 1949 to Willie Souders and Mary Morris (nee Ellington).
Lovingly known by family and friends as "Superman" or "Big Bad Bob", Bob loved to tell stories and make people laugh. After graduating from Western Hills High School, Bob was drafted into the Vietnam War as a combat medic which made a significant impact on the rest of his life. He went on to spend his days as a general contractor, but his most cherished role was being a dad and grandpa. In his free time, Bob loved to fish with his dad and other family members, listen to oldies, play games and drink whiskey with friends, and watch westerns.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Morris; sister, Mary Lou Broderick; and brother, John Souders.
Bob is survived by his wife, Xuejuan Chen; father, Willie (Norma) Souders; children, Jeremy Moore, Megan Souders, Brandy Souders, Bill Hendrickson, and Dallas Hendrickson; grandson, Carter Moore; sister, Katie (Larry ) Souders Pack; brothers, Michael Souders, Bill (Laura) Souders, Greg Souders, and Aaron (Mile) Souders; step-sister, Kay Marie Valentine; step-brother, Randy Collins; and a host of other family members and friends.

Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. The funeral service will begin at 12:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens on Compton Road where he will receive full military honors.
