Rodney Bernard Berry, 52, of Cincinnati, Ohio, left us peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 29th, 2012. Born February 15, 1960 to the union of late Alfred Berry Sr. and Marguerite Berry.
Rodney was a graduate from the 1978 class of Woodward High School. He accepted Christ in his life at an early age when his grandfather, Arthur Bernard Jackson was a Pastor. Rodney was a long-time employee of Emery Industries as a Chemical Operator for 19 years. He then moved to Concord, Ca. in 1998 and married his teenage sweetheart and friend, Sandra Davis, on July 8, 2001. Rodney attained his AA degree in Computer Communications from Mount Diablo College. He worked for Clear Water from 2002 – 2008 as a Geologist, where he tested the water and land for erosion, spoilage and bacteria. Rodney actively pursued one of his passions, which was acting and was able to land various roles in the show Nash Bridges for 1 1/2 years. He also worked on an acclaimed independent movie for 15 months. Not only did Rodney love the movie industry, but he also enjoyed all type of music and sports, mainly baseball, basketball and football.
In 2009 Rodney returned to Cincinnati to care for his aging mother before the advance stages of Alzheimer's. In late April 2012, Rodney fell ill due to a stroke and lived in Communicare of Clifton where his mom resides and niece Shena works and was able to oversee his close care.
Those left to cherish his memory includes: wife, Sandra Davis of Concord, CA, mother, Marguerite Berry, brother, Alfred Berry, aunt Celestine Brooks, one niece Shena Wilfong, four great nieces and nephews, Andrew Jr., Alexis, Gabrielle and Jordan, best friends, Steve Erkins and Ben Phillips and a host of other relatives and friends.
