Rodney Brooks was born on November 20, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio to his parents Rev. Dock Foster, Sr. and Mary Ann Bell (nee Brooks).
Rodney lived his life by touching others with his warming spirit and his laughter. He loved to crack jokes and poke fun. It was never a dull moment. Rodney loved family time, especially birthday parties and cookouts. Rodney enjoyed playing football in his younger years at Taft. He also loved to watch the Bengals play and indulged in video games.
You could find Rodney in his favorite park on Daly Road, hanging with friends, having a good time. Rodney was a compassionate, loving, very outgoing person. He couldn't hold no secrets though, LOL, but he was a true listener and peacemaker, and most of all a true believer in God.
Rodney leaves a continuous legacy of his life with partner, Lillian Shona Harris; daughter, Rodnae (Mac) Grim; sons, Rodney Brooks, Jr. and Cincere Winslow; bonus daughter, Shawnay Harris; siblings, Craig A. Brooks, Lavetta Brooks, LeaChelle (Kay Atkins) Brooks, Doc Foster, Jr., and Nathaniel Foster; bonus sister, Yolanda Dubose; three grandchildren, Vahari Harris, Onyx Harris and Mac Grim, IV.; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Rodney was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie Frank Brooks and Annie Ruth Brooks; aunt, Willa Ruth Brooks; nephew, Darian Daniels; and cousin, Rob Floyd.
