Rodney Watson, age 52, of Ross Township, Ohio passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 19, 1968 to Michael Gordon Watson and Anna Mae Cornelius (nee Collins).
Rodney was recently employed with Meggitt, but also worked as a mechanic throughout his life. He was passionate about mechanics and cars, and he even enjoyed drag racing in his earlier days. Rodney loved going on Florida vacations to the beach with his family. He enjoyed the outdoors, and liked to go camping, fishing and hiking. He was a family man who loved his kids and grandchildren. Rodney was an active member of Southland Baptist Church where he developed many close friendships. Rodney was affectionate and was known for his hugs. He always made sure that you knew he loved you in his own way.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lori Watson; and grandparents.
Rodney is survived by his beloved wife, Tracy Watson (nee Martin); step-father, Rich "Pops" Cornelius; children, Tristan Watson, Rae Watson, Emily (Christopher) Hoffmann, Alyssa "Earl" Gruver, Rebecca (Nathan Roseberry) Williams, Danielle (Michael) Skirvin, and Steven "Buddy" Finley; grandchildren, Benjamin, Jackson, Sarah, Colton, Elayna "Lou", Gideon, and Sam; sister, Patrecia "T" (Daniel) Rhodus; brother, Brian Watson; brothers-in-law, Tim Martin and Randy Martin; sister-in-law, Skyelynn "Sandi" (Jake) Brissey; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Ryan), Dustin, Dyllon, Holli, James "Jamie", and Joseph "Joey"; great-nephew, Jackson; many other nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; a beloved grand-dog, Chloe; and a host of other family members and friends.

Friends and family may gather on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Southland Baptist Church, 2485 Springdale Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231. The funeral will follow, beginning at 11:00AM with Reverend James Love, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Loveland, Ohio.
