Roger Dale Schweitzer age 73, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023. He was born in Covington, Kentucky on December 19, 1949 to Roger Martin and Rita Schweitzer (nee Bezold).
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Kathy Schweitzer (nee Bloemker); sons Shawn (Summer) Schweitzer, Ross (Sarah) Schweitzer; grandson, Logan Schweitzer; brothers, Steve (Diane) Schweitzer, Paul (Debbie) Schweitzer, Gerry (Connie) Schweitzer; and a host of other family members and friends.
Roger Dale loved his family and loved to tell his grandson Logan stories and jokes. He was an avid woodworker. He spent countless hours in his wood shop doing restorations, making picture frames as well as original pieces. Roger Dale loved classic country and rock & roll among many other genres of music. He was a boiler man for over 30 years. He was an Air Force veteran. He did lighting for concerts for years, some of which spent at Bogart's where he met his wife, Kathy. He had a knack and a passion for fixing things. Roger Dale was an intelligent man with a unique sense of humor. His knowledge and love for classic movies was deep. He loved the Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats.

Visitation will take place July 31, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
A blessing service will take place at 10:30 am Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the funeral home. The family request that you please arrive at 10:00 am to ensure the service begins on time.
Burial will follow blessing service at St. Joseph Old Cemetery where Military Honors will be given.
