Ronald Kermit Sexton, aged 80, of Cincinnati, Ohio, peacefully passed away on October 17, 2024 He was born on January 19, 1944, in Huntsville, Tennessee, to Kermit E. and Ailena Sexton (nee Buttram).
Ronald was preceded in death by his father Kermit E. Sexton, his mother Ailena Sexton, his son Christopher Sexton, and his great-great-grandchild Arial Kay Bowling. his sisters MaryLou Bowling and Sheila Ione King, his brother Leonard "Bud" Sexton.
He is survived by his children, Rhonda Geil and Valerie Sexton, and Michael P. Sexton, along with 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
Throughout his life, Ronald had a passion for drag racing, proudly owning a black 1968 Chevy Chevelle. He was an active member of the United Manual Transmission Racing Organization. In his earlier years, he also enjoyed singing with the group The Notations and recorded a 45 RPM single in 1959 with the songs "Chapel Doors" and "What a Night for Love."
A funeral ceremony will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, with a visitation from 5:00pm to 6:00pm, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
