Rose Ellen Murphy

Rose Ellen Murphy, age 93, of Edgewood, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 12, 1927 to Chester and Mary Margaret Rudolph (nee Smith). Rose Ellen taught at Lakeside Presbyterian Church Kindergarten and Preschool for over 30 years where she influenced countless young lives. Her passions included music and children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and Christian. Rose Ellen was a compassionate and loving friend to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Paul Rudolph, and Roger Rudolph.

Rose Ellen is survived by her beloved husband of 73 years, William David Murphy; sons, Michael D. (Marsha) Murphy, Kevin J. (Mary) Murphy, Todd W. (Susan) Murphy; grandchildren, Zach M. Murphy, Ellen W. Murphy, Michael E. (Ashley) Murphy, John E. Murphy, William K. Murphy, Autumn R. Murphy, Patrick R. Murphy; great-grandson, Felix Murphy; and a host of other family members and friends.

In loving memory and in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lakeside Presbyterian Church, 2690 Dixie Highway, Lakeside Park, Kentucky 41017.

A Memorial Service will be Friday, May 21, 2021 at 6:00 pm at Lakeside Presbyterian Church.
