Rose Godsey, age 65 of Cincinnati passed away on Monday, April 8, 2013. She was born in Cincinnati on January 19, 1948 the daughter of Martin and Dorothy (Hunter) Fay. Rose was a retired employee of Transmontaigne, Inc. She was the best mother, sister, and friend a person could ask for. She was a selfless woman who dedicated her life to taking care of the people she loved and always put the needs of others ahead of her own, and would even help a stranger without a second thought. Rose loved to dance, cook, and above all else loved her family. On August 14, 1965 she was married to Fred Godsey who preceded her in death in 2002.
She is survived by two daughters, Melissa and her husband Scott Horne of Atlanta, Georgia, and Krissy and her husband Jon Savell of Atlanta, Georgia; one son, Scott Godsey and his wife Lisa of Atlanta, Georgia; two sisters, Alice and her husband Tony Aday of Cincinnati, and Betty and her husband Jeff Thompson of Cincinnati; two brothers, Martin Fay Jr., and his wife Juanita of Cincinnati, and Doug Fay and his wife Barb of Lake Cumberland, Kentucky; thirteen grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Jessica, Zach, Shane, Tabby, Amber, Buck, Hank, Jake, Sadie, Katie, and Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Ellis, and Alex; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Godsey; and two sons, Mike and Steve Godsey.
