Celebrating the life of Rosezella (nee' LeGrand) Walker
Rosezella (nee' LeGrand) Walker was born on December 22, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio to King Aaron and Luvert (nee' Cheatham) LeGrand. They both preceded her in death. Rosezella was the first born to this union; her siblings Leonard LeGrand, Ernestine Longino, & Louis Daniels preceded her in death.
Rosezella was educated in the Cincinnati Public Schools & New Richmond Public School districts, graduating from Woodward High School. She also received post secondary education at Cincinnati Technical College and retired from Deaconess Hospital in 1989 after 17 years as a Cardiovascular Technician.
On January 1st, 1944 at a watch night service, Rosezella accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at New Hope Baptist and in March of 1944 was baptized by Pastor J.M. Stephens. She was an active member of the Senior Usher Board, serving as the secretary on & off for 30 years.
In 1957 Rosezella married the late Lucian Walker & to this union one child was born, Wayne Maurice Walker.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son - Wayne M. Walker, loving daughter in law - Sharon Walker, who was her dedicated care giver, granddaughters - Latonya Jennings, Martine Walker, & Arisha Geter, grandsons - Brian & Otis Pruitt, Antoine Suggs, & Wayne Walker Jr, great grandchildren – T'Niyah , Chrisshad, Javon, Chrysstal, Janyla, Wayne III, Camyra, Jerzi, Elijah, Janiyah, & Joshua (Uriel preceded her in death); nieces and nephews – Claude (Pat), Darryl (Jeanne), Denise, Nicole (Reggie), Kevin (Melonie), Kim; Reggie & Tammy preceded her in death; and close friends and family – Alma Holt (God Mother to Wayne); (1st cousin Margaret Laster, & close friend Ella Mae Brooks preceded her in death); Rosezella also leaves a host of other relatives and great friends to treasure her memories.
