Roy M. Nelson

Roy M. Nelson, beloved husband of Janet Nelson, died peacefully on November 9, 2012.
He was preceded in death by parents, Halvor and Edith Nelson, formerly of Sweden; sister Margret; brother-in-law Malcolm Chubb.
Roy is survived by daughters, Kristin (Brad), Nancy (Myron) and Susan; grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah, Jacob and Emily; nieces and nephews, Sharon (Robert) and David.
Roy graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor's degree in engineering. He ended a long and successful career as Executive Vice-President of the Lodge and Shipley Machine Tool Company. One of his greatest accomplishments was receiving the Eagle Scout Award of the Boy Scouts of America.
Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Twin Lakes Chapel, 9840 Montgomery Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Arthritis Foundation and/or Twin Lakes Foundation.
