Roode, Roy age 72, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017. He was born in Bronx, New York on August 9, 1944 to Kenneth and Evelyn Roode (nee Fretterd).
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Danny Roode. Roy is survived by his loving wife, Peggy L. Roode (nee Jump); children, Christal Roode, Chad (Lisa) Roode, Cathy Roode-Brown, Tammy Kindoll-Doan, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenny (Michelle) Roode, Billy (Susie) Roode, Tommy (Anna) Roode, Nancy (Merrill) Lamay, Dottie Grispin; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 from 5:00 pm until time of service at 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Final viewing will be held on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens.
