Ruby Perkins Back

Ruby Perkins Back, age 75, of Elsmere, Kentucky passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021. She was born in Corbin, Kentucky on February 12, 1945 to Robert Perkins and Rachel Garland (nee Trosper).
Ruby loved to sew and cook. She was famous for her fudge. Ruby was a very faithful Christian and always attended church at Community Family Church in Independence, where she was a member. She enjoyed visits from her family members and valued the time she spent with each of them. She will be remembered most by her willingness to do anything for anybody and the love she shared with her sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Jo Carroll Williams, Patsy Goff, Bonnie Perkins, Earl Perkins, and step-siblings, Lily Mae Engle, Burley Garland.
Ruby is survived by her beloved husband of 7 years, James Back; sons, Randol (Kathy) Perkins, Gary (Pam) Perkins, Michael Mohr; step-children, Kay (Tim) Lewis, James (Chris) Back, Jr., Joseph (Tammy) Back; 8 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 6 step-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Ruby, contributions may be made to her church, Community Family Church, 11875 Taylor Mill Rd, Independence, KY 41051, or Brafford Cemetery, P.O. Box 646, Gray, KY 40734.
A visitation will be held 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, 4350 Dixie Highway, Erlanger, KY 41018. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm.
