RICKEY, Ruby Eilene age 92, formerly of Brown County, Ohio departed for her eternal home on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. She was born in Mt. Olivet, Kentucky on April 16, 1922 to Willis P. and Etna Grace Dotson (nee McDowell).
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bruce Rickey; siblings, Virginia Mussinan, Beryl Barnes, and Norman Dotson. Ruby is survived by her children, Linda Hanley, Sue (Bill) Baker, Carolyn (Michael) Morgan, David Rickey, Paul Rickey; grandchildren, David (Mary) McRoberts, Kelly McRoberts, Emily Morgan, Lauren Morgan, Rachel Morgan; great-grandchildren, Steven (Kristin) McRoberts, Taylor McRoberts, Ashley Ball, Chris Ball; great-great-grandson, Brayden Jones; brother, Tommy Dotson; and a host of other family members and friends.
Ruby and Bruce farmed in Brown County, Ohio for many years, then moved to Russellville where Bruce was a rural letter carrier. Ruby was an active member of Bethlehem Church of Christ as long as her health permitted. In loving memory of Ruby, contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Church of Christ, 505 Bethlehem Road, Winchester, Ohio 45697.
