Ruby Mae Smith

Smith, Ruby Mae age 83, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. She was born in Baughman, Kentucky on September 25, 1938 to the late Elbert and Maggie Smith (nee Bishop).

Ruby is survived by her beloved family; sisters, Elizabeth Marie Gray, Florence Abner and Shirley Jean Powers; brother, Clifford Smith; and a host of other family members and friends.

Ruby had numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great and great great-nieces and nephews. She had the innocence of a child and was the sweetest person you could ever meet. Ruby loved everyone and everything around her. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and playing cards - she would always win. She had many toys she enjoyed as well. Ruby had to have her Diet Coke, M&M's and Reese's cups every day. She loved to go home for the holidays to be with her family and still believed in the magic of Santa Claus.


A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm with a service to follow at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Burial will take place immediately following at Vine Street Hill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her mother.
