Samuel E. Cox

Samuel Everett Cox, Age 84, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on June 29, 2022. He was born in Doddridge County, West Virginia on March 24, 1938 to Fonce E. and Wanda V. Cox (nee Kimball). Sam had a successful career in Engineering at General Electric. In his free time, he enjoyed working with computers, researching genealogy, being a leader of Boy Scouts, taking vacations to Florida, and going on cruises. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to make people laugh and smile. He cherished and adored his family, most especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Peggy (Gary) Turner. He was also preceded in death on January 14, 2020 by his wife, Ione E. Cox (nee Stevens), whom he married on November 29, 1958.

Sam is survived by three children: Debrah Cox, Dawn (James) Mounts, and Keith (Janice) Cox; he is also survived by grandchildren: Jonathon Bales, Laurel (Tim) Stevenson, Mandy Cox-Fletcher, Josh Mounts, Alicia Mounts, Robyn (Justin) Taft; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 11:00 am, all at Newcomer Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park, 11825 Pippin Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
