On the morning of July 25, 2019 Sandra Jo Spivey Feldman fell asleep in death at 4:30 AM in Cincinnati, OH at the age of 83 with her daughter Libby right by her side.
Jo, the name that she was most known by, was born July 11, 1936 to Seeds and Crystal Miller Spivey in Connersville, Indiana. She was an only child. She received a Master's Degree in Microbiology and a minor in Latin at the University of Indiana, where she also met John Feldman. March 26, 1959 she and the love of her life, John, were married, and together they raised two children, Libby and Nathan Jaye.
Jo loved playing Bring and Canasta, along with travelling. Along with her beloved John, they traveled virtually all over the world. Due to her love for learning, shortly before taking ill, she began to study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. The various truths that she had learned brought her great joy. She learned the true condition of the dead, "that they are conscious of nothing at all" so death was nothing to fear. (Ecclesiastes 9:5) She also learned that Our Heavenly Father Jehovah has a wonderful future ahead for those who truly want to love and obey him. (Revelation 21:4) It brought Jo great joy to learn the words so eloquently state at Job 14:15, which says: "You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.
Jo is preceded in death by her dear husband John, and her son Nathan Jaye. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Libby and her husband Dan Hardy, her two children: Vincent (Christina) Grady and Sarah (Brandon) Farrier along with six great grandchildren: Kyla, Broden, Kal'el, Makena, Kalli Mae, and Wesley.
There will be a Memorial for Jo at her daughter's home on Sunday August 4, 2019 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, at 9517 Kosta Drive, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
