Sara Jean Lackey, age 79, of Colerain Township, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 31, 1940 to Theodore Mitchell and Jennett Howard (nee Mooney).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore Mitchell and Jennett Howard (nee Mooney); grandson, Deion Harris; sister, Antoinette Wilder; cousin, Arthur Rawlins; Rion Johnson; and Eugene's son, Joe.
Sara is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Eugene Lackey; children, Deione Funches, James Ingram, Monique (Stanley) Haynes, Renee Allen; Grandchildren, Ebony Smith, Nequilia (Raymond) Earnest, Robert Ingram, Nequisha "Quay"(Marcus) Brooks, Eric Mason, Florida Funches, and Edmund Allen; great-grandchildren, Niyonah Earnest, Raymond Earnest, II, Travyon Mitchell, Christopher Watley, Tramar Oats, Jaionna Mason, Zhiir Smith, Dizel Smith, Jr., Zhirell Smith; 3 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Pat Taylor, and Debra Johnson; host of other blended family members; children, Eugene, Jr. "Pete", Wayne, Tonya, Norman, Vincent "Quincy", Dante, and Eugenia.
Family and friends may gather on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. The funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 12:00PM with her nephews, Pastors Albert Taylor, Jr. and John Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery.
