Sharon Lemaster

Sharon Lee Williams Lemaster, age 74, peacefully left this earth to meet Jesus on Saturday, May 29, 2021 in Mt. Healthy, Ohio, following an extended illness at home.

Sharon grew up in Fairborn, Ohio, and graduated from Fairborn High School in 1965. She attended Fairborn Enterprise Baptist Church and Calvary Enterprise Baptist Church where her father pastored.

She was quiet, sweet, thoughtful, and always made her home comfortable and welcoming. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Charles J. Lemaster; three cherished children, Janelle M. (Timothy) Romes, Brian (Jennifer) Lemaster, and Kevin D. Lemaster; grandsons, Samuel and Nathan Romes, whom she dearly loved and always bragged about; sister, Diana (Lovell) Lewis of Fairborn; and numerous in-laws and cousins who kept in touch during her illness and the family appreciates them all. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Marcum L. and Martha Mae Williams.

Sharon loved cooking and had some delicious specialties like her lasagna and apple pie! She collected many cookbooks which she read like novels while listening to 50's music and drinking flavored coffee. Her family willingly loaded and unloaded the car with boxes of goodies and decorations she prepared for every Christmas gathering and family reunion.

When she could, she browsed antique shops buying items to turn into Christmas Gifts. She was so creative, making lovely things from what others might consider useless. She remembered what people said they loved and enjoyed and tried to find them gifts. Christmas trees, candles, annual decorations, lights... all made the season so bright and beautiful.

Birthdays were always celebrated with the recipient having their favorite home cooked dinner and cake or pie of choice.

She truly loved her family and home, and those special touches will be sorely missed. Those who had almost daily phone chats with her, including silly talk and giggles, will have an empty spot in the day. Those who knew her will miss her sweet smile and quiet temperament. She was special!

Family and friends may gather on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy from 10:00 to 11:00AM. The celebration of life funeral service will begin at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Chaplain Dave Ryan officiating. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park.
