Sherry Lynn Ferguson

April 26, 1957 — February 8, 2025

Florence, Kentucky

Sherry Lynn Ferguson, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, peacefully departed this life on February 8, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on April 26, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Sherry graced the world with her kindness and warmth, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

With a career that spanned 25 years at Gates Rubber, Sherry was not just a dedicated employee; she was a trusted team member and a vibrant spirit on the company softball team. Though she retired from her professional life, she never stopped nurturing and caring for those around her, always imparting the lessons of love and joy that defined her essence.

Sherry's passions extended far beyond work, as she held a deep affection for her family. She especially adored spending time with her grandchildren—Heather, Josh, Tyler, Chris, and Olivia—finding endless delight in their laughter and creativity. As a proud great-grandmother to Charlotte, Colton, and Carson, her heart overflowed with love for the next generations, with whom she shared countless joyous moments and cherished memories.

Her love of family often drew her to the beach, especially Daytona, where she enjoyed sunny adventures surrounded by the people she held dear. It was a place where Sherry could truly relax, bask in the warmth of the sun, and create lasting memories with those she loved the most.

Sherry is survived by her husband of 44 years, Rodney Ferguson; her daughter, Theresa Adams; her precious grandchildren; and a wealth of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, along with numerous other family members and friends who were fortunate enough to know her gentle soul.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jr. Lawson, and her mother, Marie Lawson (nee Jeffers), both of whom she loved deeply and carried in her heart always.

Sherry Lynn Ferguson's life will be remembered not only for her laughter and kindness but also for the profound connections she made. As we gather our thoughts of her, we do so with a smile, knowing that her spirit lives on through the love she so freely gave, and the memories we cherish.
