Shirley Morgan

Shirley Morgan, age 80, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025. Born on May 6, 1944, in Kay Jay, Kentucky, she was the daughter of George and Lucy Peace (née Wynn).

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: George Peace Jr., Jay Peace, Morris Peace, Imogene Tolliver, Wilma Short, and Bernice Smith. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Jack Morgan; her sons, Scott (Michelle) Morgan and Ken (Kristy) Morgan; and her brother, James Peace. She is the beloved Granny to her cherished grandchildren, Rowan, Georgia, Aaron, Landon, and Noah Morgan. She is also remembered fondly by a host of extended family members and friends.

A passionate Bingo player and Rummy card shark, Shirley cherished spending quality time with her family. She brought joy and warmth to her home, decorating for the holidays with multiple Christmas trees and wrapping presents so beautifully that no one wanted to open them. Her love for celebrating Easter was also a significant part of her family traditions.

In loving memory of Shirley, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association. 

Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2025 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm at Southland Missionary Baptist Church, 2485 Springdale Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
