Phillips, Shirley Joyce age 79, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 27, 1937 to Nelson E. Sr. and Vera E. Hamel (nee Haley).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvan Phillips; parents, daughter, Donna L. Haas; brother, Nelson E. "Buzz" Hamel Jr. Shirley is survived by her beloved of children, Edwin N. (Christina) Bowman, Arnold C. (Jo) Walker, Jr., Patricia E. (William) Wright, Debra K. Holsinger, Donald P. Walker, Susan J. Walker, Kevin S. (Tasha) Walker; 20 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Pat Compton; and a host of other family members and friends.
In loving memory of Shirley, contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Hospital. Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 20, 2016 with a visitation from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.
