Simmie passed away on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Hearthstone Nursing Home. He was born on November 20, 1933 in Lexington, KY to Simmie Harris, Sr. and Hattie Helen Harris.
Simmie is survived by his children, Selina Rone; Sophia Harris; Soirvon Harris; Sibble (Kevin) Brown; Lionel Harris. Cherished grand father of fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren,as well as, a host of family and friends.
Funeral service for Simmie Harris Jr., age 78 of Cincinnati, will be Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home - Hamilton Chapel. Rev. Roy Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Landmark Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 5, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Newcomer Funeral Home - Hamilton Chapel.
