Stella Thacker

Stella Thacker, age 102 of Cincinnati passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at the Clovernook Nursing Home in North College Hill. She was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on April 20, 1910 the daughter of Waymon and Julia (Neal) Booker. She was a retired cook with the Board of Education in Chicago, Illinois. She was married to Albert Thacker and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by one sister, Myra Smith of Middlesboro, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; two brothers, Jim and Dan; six sisters, Lizzie, Ada, Frankie, Christine, Molly, and Avie.

Funeral service will be held at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 7830 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Shirley Kyle officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
