Stephen H. Davis

Stephen Harry Davis, born Nov. 11, 1935 in Troy, OH to Carl Davis and Helen Schnorr Davis, passed away suddenly, September 22, 2024 at home in Independence, KY. 

Stephen is survived by his loving family, wife: Brenda Smith Davis, step children: Karen (Tom) Carmony - Independence, KY, Kimberly (Kevin) Flanagan - Crittenden, KY, Richard (Brooke) Smith - Independence, KY. His grandchildren: Elyssa Carmony, Brandon Carmony, Matthew Flanagan, Philip Flanagan, Kollie Flanagan, Andrew Smith, Landon Smith; great-grandchildren: June Popp, Ember Wainscott, Emmett Flanagan. Along with many nieces and nephews.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ken Davis, Sister, Mary Lee Stallsmith, great-grandchild, Ivy Wainscott, and survived by 1 sister, Charlotte Burchell. 

Stephen was a brilliant man, having developed approx. 25 patents as a mechanical engineer; working for various privately owned companies. 

He loved his family dearly whether camping through the west with his grandsons or driving grandkids to sporting practices, but his #1 love was attending their games, being the proudest of grandpa's watching them grow into adulthood! He knew he was loved by them. 

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him; friends and family, in the days ahead. All who knew him loved him!

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for Stephen may be made to St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church. 

The family will be holding a visitation on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of the Memorial Mass at 11:00 am. Services will take place at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5313 Madison Pike, Independence, Kentucky 41051.
