Turrell Johnson Logan Jr. was born on Sunday, December 31, 1950 in Lancaster, KY to Turrell Johnson Logan Sr. and Eliza Gladys Logan who preceded him in death. Turrell went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2013.
Turrell, affectionately known as "Buster: or "TJ" was the fourth of seven children in the family. His smile lit up the room and his sense of humor was a joy to all he encountered. Turrell accepted Christ in baptism at an early age.
Turrell was a gentleman, always considering the feelings of others. From childhood to adulthood he was known as a caring and loving person who enjoyed spending time with his family.
He graduated from Danville High School in 1968 and pursued employment in areas of his interest where hard work and faithful attendance were key characteristics he earned with great pride. Turrell worked for five years as Residential Manager at Kennedy Crossings and twelve years in the Purchasing Department at Xpedx Paper.
Turrell was known for his avid fishing, great culinary recipes and slamming down home pinto beans. When his family had a cook out or barbecue everyone knew who would provide top notch barbeque with the perfect spices. Turrell loved playing pool with his brother Eugene and nephew, Derrick, relatives and friends; often sharing his winning tips of the game.
Turrell leaves to cherish his memories, his sweetheart, Glenda Greenway, his brother, Eugene Evans Logan, Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters, Betty Hyatt Olinger (David), Berea, KY, Dorothy Logan Lewis (Orvell), Dallas, TX, Revella Logan Love (Ellsworth) Atlanta, GA, Dellena Logan Sloan (Frederick), Cincinnati, OH; Cathy Logan, Atlanta, GA; his daughters, Monica Lynn Gary, and Rhonda Yocum-Saulsberry, Lexington, KY; grandsons, Jay, Denzel, William and Landen, Lexington, KY; one aunt, Mamie Hampton, Indianapolis, IN and host of other nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.
