Verlene Underwood, age 85, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. She was born in Statesboro, Georgia on October 18, 1937 to Tommy and Maybell Burroughs (nee Munlin).
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Terry Burroughs, her brother William "Dub" Burroughs.
Verlene is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Willie Fred Underwood, her children, Wilbur Burroughs, Johnny Burroughs, Cedric Burroughs, Yohance Underwood, Michelle Adams, Cindy Kelley and her step-daughter, Sheila Julious. She has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is the sister of Catherine Williams.
Funeral services will be private.
