Verna Rose Delaney, 74, of North College Hill City, passed away on March 21, 2013 at Clovernook Healthcare Pavilion.She was born on October 25, 1938 to William Schlichter and Loretta (Arszman) Reis. She retired from Super X/Kroger as a Mail Clerk and was also employed with H&R Block for 20 years. Verna was an animal lover and dog breeder. Every Christmas she operated the children's train at Northgate Mall and thoroughly enjoyed it. Verna was an avid photographer.
Verna is survived by her daughter, Tammy Rose and her husband Peter Mogavero of Cincinnati; her son, Thomas J Farrell of Cincinnati; her step-son, Patrick Delaney of Cincinnati; two step-daughters, Mary Riggs of Cincinnati, and Maureen Weber of Cincinnati; her sister, Karen and her husband LarryDavis of Cincinnati; her brother, Robert Schlichter and his wife Karen of Indiana; her granddaughter, Tiffany DiPaolo of Cincinnati; her two grandsons, Ryan Farrell of Hamilton, and Jonathan Mogavero of Cincinnati; her great-grandson, Austin DiPaolo of Cincinnati; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Schlichter; her mother, Loretta Reis; her husband, John Delaney.
