Verna Roth

With heavy hearts, the family of Verna Jean Roth announces her passing on January 12, 2025, at the age of 75. She peacefully left us at home, surrounded by her loving husband, William (Bill) Roth, son Mark Roth, and grandson Harley Roth.

Verna was born on June 9, 1949, in Cincinnati, Ohio to Norbert and Dorthy Gannon. She grew up in Cheviot, Ohio, before moving to Delhi, Ohio, where she spent the majority of her life.

A talented and creative soul, Verna had a passion for sewing and crocheting. She was especially known for making cherished baby blankets for family and friends. Above all, Verna treasured the moments spent with her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Verna is survived by her husband, William (Bill) Roth; children, David Roth, Amy Roth, and Mark Roth; grandchildren, Miranda and Haley Goley, Andrew and John Roth, Aaron Roth, Colin TenBrink, and Harley Roth; siblings, Michael Gannon, Mary (nee Gannon) Harcourt, Shari Gannon, and Kevin Gannon; as well as great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Calvin Roth. She was predeceased by her parents, Norbert and Dorothy Gannon, her in-laws, William and Alice Roth, and Justin Roth as well as many other beloved family members.

A memorial service to celebrate Verna’s life will be held on January 23, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home on 3300 Parkcrest Dr, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 at 5:00 - 8:00 pm. The family kindly requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society.

Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing that Verna is now at peace. She will always be remembered with love and fondness by all who were blessed to know her.
