Vernon C. Lawhorn

Vernon C. Lawhorn, age 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020. He was born in Liberty, Kentucky on December 31, 1937. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and The American Legion. Vernon and his wife, of 56 years, Janet, traveled the country in their RV, enjoying bingo, poker, motorcycling, and visiting all their friends. Vernon was well known to brag about his children and grandchildren with many pictures he loved to share.

Vernon is the beloved husband of 56 years to Janet Lawhorn, devoted father to Mark Propheter, Allen Lawhorn, Juanene Wong, and Darrin Lawhorn. Dear Papaw to A.J. Lawhorn, Amber Becker, Kyle Lawhorn, Nicholas Wong, and Jada Wong. Loving great-grandfather to Lily Becker, and Levi Becker. Survived by sister, Juanita Koester; as well as many extended family and life-long friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be 1:00 pm Friday, October 30, 2020 with a visitation from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park immediately following the service.
