Vesta Marie Ellis

Vesta M. Barnett Ellis was born on July 28, 1921 in East St. Louis, Missouri, to the late William and Vesta Anderson (Boaz). The family relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio when she was a child.

Vesta began her career with the Sheraton-Gibson Hotel and then became a private duty nurse. Vesta later changed her career and became a dedicated employee of the Cincinnati Enquirer and Post as a sales manager until her retirement.

Vesta enjoyed her home, decorating, cooking and playing cards with friends and family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard, two sons William and Larry Barnett, one grandson, Sean, two sisters and five brothers.

Vesta is survived by two children, Daryrel Barnett Sr. (Marsinah) and Wanda M. Lattimore (Earl); eight grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friend.
