Victoria Lynn Bowens, aged 65, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025. She was born in Cincinnati on February 8, 1960, to James and Mamie Bowens (née Dixon).
Victoria was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mamie Bowens. She is survived by her father, James Bowens; her daughter, Ericka (Ibikunle) Igbonegun; her sons, Jonte Bowens and Earl Bowens; her sisters, Stephanie (Cornelius Smith) Bowens and Crystal (David) Reese; her grandchildren, Ibikunle, Oluwakemi, Abisola, and Alayah; as well as her niece, Danielle Smith; her nephew, Cornelius Smith; and a host of other family members and friends.
A talented cook, Victoria often delighted her family with her culinary creations. She had a fondness for scratch-off tickets and enjoyed sipping 1738, as well as engaging in long conversations over the phone. Known for her warmth and kindness, Victoria loved being a homebody, cherishing the time spent with her family. Holidays, especially Thanksgiving, held a special place in her heart, and she took great joy in hosting family gatherings.
Victoria was a people person, easily making friends wherever she went. Her caring nature led her to help others selflessly, making her truly easy to love. She also enjoyed decorating her home, reflecting her vibrant personality.
A funeral ceremony honoring Victoria will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 9, 2025, with visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211.
