At the ripe young age of 93, Violet Louise Burchett (Granny) took her last breath and moved on to a new beginning on July 29th, 2020. She passed comfortably, while in a brief stay at hospice.
Violet was born with a spark for life and a heart full of love on July 28th, 1927. She resided in many places, however she called Kentucky home. She was a true fighter, born an only child, she left school to care for her sick mother and later in her 50s she graduated with her GED. She worked for many years at Mableys Department Store in the marking room and became a wife at the ripe young age of 23 to Henry Burchett.
She had a long and loving marriage to Henry of 44 years and they had two daughters: Suzanne Marie Fehr 66, who is still living, and Deborah Joan Henry 64, also among the living. She was a loving and encouraging grandmother to 5 Grandchildren: Cheryl Stamper (deceased), Hope McIntosh-Young, Chuck McIntosh, Jerry McIntosh and Michael McIntosh. She also has surviving 13 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Violet loved her family and was always ready to cook for guest or do what she could to make you feel at home. She loved crime shows, Frank Sinatra and talk radio. She was always there to be supportive and to lend a listening ear. Her relationship with God was very important to her, and there will not be a day that goes by that she will not be thought of and missed.
A visitation for Violet will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions in Erlanger, KY, on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM. A memorial service will follow at 11 AM.
