Vivian Ann Black-Jones was born July 25, 1965 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Odell and Eva Mae Black. She departed from this life on June 11, 2020.
Vivian Black-Jones was affectionately known as "Viv" to all those who knew and loved her. She was known to be very forthright always speaking her mind. Vivian was the youngest of eight children of which three brothers have preceded her in death, Stanley, Jeffrey and Kelvin. Vivian turned her life over to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Bible Way for many years, but later found a new church home at New Evergreen. She always shared her love of God with those around her.
Vivian graduated from Withrow High School in 1983. She later attended Beauty School and worked in hospitality services as a supervisor in several local hotels. She then took on the role of being a caregiver to her loved ones and others within her community. She was a very resourceful person known as the social worker amongst her family and friends. Vivian got married in 2008 to Herbert Jones and later divorced.
Vivian leaves to cherish her memory: her sons Kevin Black (Davin) and Brian Black; nieces Shellene Chesser and Angela Chesser; great niece Breanna Kelly; great nephew Brandon Kelly; grandchildren Kayla Black, Kaylee Black, Bri'Anna Black, Arianna Black and Brian Black Jr.; siblings Robert Chesser, Eugene Chesser, Betty Chesser and Gregory Black; a host of other relatives and friends.

Family and friends may gather on Friday, June 26, 2020 at Newcomer West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Bishop Ted Pryor officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Hills Cemetery.
