Walter J. Buchholz

Buchholz, Walter J. age 64 of Covedale, OH passed away on Friday, November 25, 2016. He graduated from LaSalle High School and completed 3 years of college education at the University of Cincinnati. Walt Joined the United States Air Force in 1973 attaining the rank of sergeant in the 4950th Test Wing, specializing in Avionic Instrument Systems. He was honorably discharged in 1977 ending his time of service. Walter was a restaurant manager for Friendly's Ice Cream with many loyal employees from Illinois to Maryland to Pennsylvania to Florida. He was later employed as a dealer at the Argosy and Hollywood Casino.

Walter's passions in life included gardening, golf, tennis, photography, writing, cooking and baking for others. He loved playing cards and board games. Walt was happiest decorating for special occasions and holidays when he would host amazing parties in his home for his family.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 11:00 am to 12 noon with the prayer service at 12 noon at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Side Chapel, 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211. Committal service immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
