Wanita Renilda Grillot, nee Schultz, was born in the Peaselburg neighborhood of Covington on January 15th, 1924 to Arthur Schultz and Cecelia, nee Goderwis. She was preceded in death by brothers Sylvester (Mary) Schultz and Arthur (Gussie) Schultz. She attended grade school at St. Augustine and was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in 1942. After the war she married James F. Grillot of Norwood, Ohio. They later moved to Erlanger where Wanita lived until her death. Wanita worked at various jobs over the years including the Crosley Company during World War 2, Buckeye Savings and Loan, St. Henry Cafeteria, the IRS, and the Earring Tree at Florence Mall. She also volunteered her time as a poll worker for many primary and general elections in the Kenton County area. After a lengthy retirement she died of a stroke on April 18th, 2019 after spending a week at St. Elizabeth Hospice. Wanita is survived by her 3 sons: Dennis, Stephen (Anna), and Randy (Kimberly); her grandchildren Amanda, Tonya, Jordan, Genesa (Brian), Justin (Maylen), Jonathan (Kathrin), Case and Lela; her great-grandchildren Miranda, Alaina, Emma, Quinten, Gianni, Gabriel and Nicolas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory are suggested to either Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills (ndapandas.org) or the Alzheimer`s Association (alz.org). Visitation will be at Newcomer, Cremations, Funerals & Receptions in Erlanger at 4350 Dixie Highway on Monday, April 22nd from 5-8pm. A funeral mass will be at St. Henry in Elsmere the next morning on April 23rd at 10am. Internment will follow at St. Mary`s in Ft. Mitchell.
