Wesley "Wes" Hamilton was born to Major and Venus Hamilton in Birmingham, Alabama on December 12, 1939 and departed this life on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
At the age of eleven, Wesley moved to Cincinnati, Ohio with his father. He graduated from William Howard Taft High School in 1959. He later joined the United States Army and received an honorable discharge after two years of service.
He united in Holy Matrimony to Loretta Hamilton. God blessed this union with one son, Terry. Wesley confessed his faith in Christ at an early age at Union Baptist Church. He later, along with his family became a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
Wesley worked as an assembler for the American Tool Works Company then for General Motors in Norwood, Ohio until retirement. He enjoyed watching sports of all types and spending time with his family. He was very kind hearted and will be missed by many and thought of often.
Wesley was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Major and Cornelia Hamilton.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife, Loretta Hamilton of 41 years; one son, Terry Hamilton; his mother, Venus Coleman; two sisters, Sarah Rhodus (Alfred) and Beatrice Kennedy; two brothers, Elvin Coleman (Geraldine) and Harold Coleman; one sister-in-law, Adrianne Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He leaves fond memories with his close friends, Rick Williams and Lois Taylor.
