Whitney Taryn Wallace was born on March 8, 1983. She departed this life suddenly on July 14, 2012.
Baptized at an early age by the late Bishop William E. Crumes, Whitney was a long time member of the Church of the Living God.
Educated in the Cincinnati and Lima school district. Whitney was an excellent student and was presented with the United State Presidential Scholar of Excellence Award. Whitney was an accomplished gymnast who enjoyed teaching and coaching other young athletes.
She was employed by Ikron Recovery Center as a peer counselor while coping with her own health issues.
Throughout her life she demonstrated an extreme love for children and everyone who knew her was amazed by her kindness and loving spirit.
Whitney Taryn Wallace is survived by her parents, Diann Haygood and Gary Wallace; three brothers, Andre McCaster (Brandy), Garrison and Bryan Wallace; one niece, Nialah Monay and one nephew, Roman Dior, all of whom she loved dearly and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at Church of the Living God, 430 Forest Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229 on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Willie Carter Sr., officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
