William R. Bradford

William R. "Bill" Bradford, 94, peacefully passed away on February 23, 2015 at his home in Montgomery. He was born on November 28, 1920 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Rush Samuel and Gertrude Jennie Bradford. Bill married his loving wife, Beatrice, in 1942 with whom he began a family and long-lasting memories. They enjoyed traveling together all over the world and relocated, several years ago, to Cincinnati from Pennsylvania to be near family.

Bill proudly served his country during and after WWII, retiring as a Colonel in the U.S. Army.

Bill will be dearly missed by his wife, Beatrice, three Children, Robert A. (Susan) Bradford of Milford, OH, Barbara (Peter) Martin of Nashville, TN and W. Kenneth (Patricia) Bradford of Roanoke, VA. He was a loving grandfather to Chris (Christie), Amy (Scott), Scott (Jennifer), Kelly (Seth) and Alec, and great grandfather to four. He was also a loving friend to his extended family. Bill was preceded in death by three brothers, Randall, Wayne and Eugene Bradford.


Bill leaves behind close friends from Twin Lakes of Montgomery, especially Linda Miller, his caregiver. A Memorial Service will be held at Twin Lakes at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Twin Lakes Benevolent Fund.
