Willow Jean Tapley Hill (nee Stuckey) affectionately known as "Jean" was born on February 15, 1948 to the late Aanzo Lena (Henderickson) Stuckey and Willie Stuckey of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the sixth of twelve children.
At an early age Jean received Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at Beulah Baptist Church in Cincinnati. She had a passion for Gospel music, and over the years was part of many gospel groups in the various churches she attended.
Jean received her high school education from Hughes High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a dedicated and valued employee of ABM for fifteen years. Jean loved to cook and looked forward to spending Thanksgiving with her family. Every year she would say "this is the last year I'm going to host dinner". However, she would begin planning for the next Thanksgiving that same day!
Jean had a flare for dressing -- she had a hat to match every church outfit.
Jean is survived by her spouse, James Hill; her sisters, Sandra Stuckey and Ida Stuckey, one brother, Latrell Stuckey; her children, Vestena Wilkin (Patrick), Verena Green, Lena White (Michael), Timberly Reeves (Homer), Raymond Henderson and Michael Henderson; 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives as well as her friends and neighbors.
One daughter, Velesa Stuckey, five of her grandchildren, siblings, Fred Rolland, Flora Bell, Cornelia Mae, Merrill Jean, Meredith Lee, Aurelius Kurt and Willie Earl, all preceded her in death. She also had two spouses who preceded her in death – Raymond Henderson and James Tapley.
Jean was one-of-a kind and a true blessing to all who had the honor of sharing time and space with her. She will truly be missed!
