Wilma V. Wood age 74 of Colerain Township joined her heavenly father on Wednesday, September 26, 2012. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 8, 1938 the daughter of John Haungs and Ethel (Stewart) Geiger. Wilma was a member of the Grace Pointe Church and she led the Anna Louise Inn Missionary. She sang with many different churches in the community and produced CD's of the songs she wrote. Wilma was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed spending time with all of her family. She loved helping other people and volunteered with the homeless. Wilma had a very strong faith in her Lord and through her songs she would spread the word of God. On November 17, 1974 she was married to Wayne Wood.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Wood of Colerain Township; a daughter, Sarita and her husband Fred Perry of Sunman, Indiana; three sons, Joe and his wife Christeen Hall of Cincinnati, Micul and his wife Donna Hall of Batavia, and Robert and his wife Kimberly Hall of Lebanon; one sister, Ruth Denton of Colerain Township; one brother, Jack Haungs of Elmwood Place; sixteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son David Grant Hall; two sisters, June Dybowski and Florine Haungs.
Funeral service will be held at the Grace Pointe Church, 7630 View Place Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45224, on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 12:00 noon with Pastor Shelly Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 noon.
