Devoted wife, mother and caregiver. Winifred knew true love; the love of her God and her family. Winnie found great pleasure in caring for her family nothing put a smile on her face more than family gatherings. She loved spending time with her large extended family. You see there was never a child or for that fact a not so young child she didn't open her heart to. She shared this love along with her spouse of 57 year William who went to be with the Lord May 1, of 2011. They were both very active in their church, shared a love for youth and believed that GOD made them to provide a sense of family to all they encountered.
Winifred was a retired nurse, missionary, stewardess and youth leader. Her passion was serving her Lord and Savoir and sowing into the lives of young people. For most of her Christian experience she served at Phillips Memorial CME Church. During her latter years until her heath no longer allowed, she attended James Temple COGIC. She felt honored and fortunate to have served at both places of worship and developed long loving relationship with her church families.
