Yvonne Holston was born November 1, 1949 to the late Booker T. and Pearl L. Williams, the oldest of three children. She departed her life on July 14, 2012.
Yvonne accepted Christ at an early age. She graduated from Taft High School in 1968.
Later to unite in holy matrimony to the late Sylvester Holston in 1981. Together they raised three loving daughters: Krishna L. Gentry-Smiley, Lavette Gentry-Cherradi and Angelique Gentry-Floyd.
Yvonne received her real-estate license in her earlier years. She meets no stranger in the workplace. With her warm personality and bright smile she made numerous friends and lasting relationship from General Motors, Ethecon, JC Penney and Fifth Third Bank. Her hands of labor retired in 2011.
Yvonne will always be remembered for her passion of decorating. She enjoyed watching HGTV, working in her yard and shopping. Yvonne used her creative ideas at home and would transform her living space into a beautiful oasis. There is where she found peace, comfort and a place to entertain her family and friends. She will be forever missed. Her spirit will live through her children.
She leaves to cherish in memory her three loving daughters: Krishna L. Gentry-Smiley, Lavette Gentry-Cherradi (Anis), Angelique Gentry-Floyd (Anthony); her sister Yvette Williams and brother Booker T. Williams (Renee). Nine grandchildren; Brandon, Brianna, Katherine, Simeon, Yahshem, Tyaler, Payton, Joe and Taiyah, one great-grandchild, Alexander and a host of aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
